It All Started When.
The Power of Partnerships.
A moment that changed everything
The next chapter of my journey began unexpectedly—at a friend’s funeral. As I stood there, I found myself looking around at the nearby grave markers, wondering about the lives behind each name and the stories left untold. That moment sparked a vision: I wanted to create a way for families to share the memories, photos, and stories of their loved ones in a meaningful, lasting way.
To bring this idea to life, I immersed myself in the world of web development—learning how to build websites and create QR codes that link directly to personalized pages where families can share and view stories about their loved ones. That moment of connection and reflection lit the spark that launched my journey into website design, and I’ve been passionately creating ever since.
Bringing Legacies toLife Through Technology.
I partnered with Bill Lopez from the University of Nebraska to launch a pilot program at Wyuka Cemetery, where we began recording family stories and linking them to custom QR codes. These codes directed visitors to dedicated web pages that shared each individual’s life and legacy. The idea gained attention, and I was soon featured on Channel 10/11 News. That coverage caught the eye of Roger Ludemann, who reached out about an exciting opportunity tied to the renovation of Centennial Mall.
This became my first major website project—developing a site for Centennial Mall that showcases notable Nebraskans and distinguished Nebraska businesses. We incorporated QR codes into select tiles along the mall, allowing visitors to scan and instantly access stories and information about each honoree. It was an opportunity to merge technology with history, and offer a unique, interactive way for people to connect with Nebraska’s rich heritage.
Honoring Veterans & Purposeful Design.
My passion for sharing stories and website design continued to grow as I began developing websites for a wide range of companies and organizations. Along the way, I discovered a deep and personal calling: honoring our nation’s veterans. The more I learned about their sacrifices, the more I felt compelled to give back—to use my skills to help preserve their stories and ensure their service is never forgotten.
